The film takes place shortly after the Scorpions’ Revenge in which the heroes are attacked by Shao Kahn, forcing Raiden and his army to make a competitive deal in the final Mortal Kombat that will determine the fate of the worlds. This forces good people to travel to Outworld to defend the Universe while Scorpion travels to find Kamidogu (an amazing relic created by powerful Old Gods) before being used to bring back a mysterious creature that would destroy the universe.
