Charlie Vachtel, David Rabinovitz Ron Stallworth was hired in the early 1970s by the Colorado Springs Police Department as the first black officers. Stallworth was initially assigned to work in the storage room where he faced his comrades. Stallworth requested the transfer to keep it a secret and was destined to break into a local demonstration by civil rights leader Kwame Toure (born Stokeli Carmichael). At the event, Stallworth will meet Patrice Dumas, President of the Blackado College of Colorado College.
